isolator

Post by mikeintn » Sun Sep 13, 2009 7:39 pm

Has anyone tried to have the lining put back on the isolator on JD 350B?
say like a place that does clutches and brake lining, seems like 800 is lot of money for a new one just for that little piece of lining

First of all you need to contact Lavoy the owner of this site. He can probably fix you up with what you need. To answer your question... Yes I have had the linings replaced by a clutch / brake relining company. I went to my local NAPA store and they sent the isolators off for me. The lining is held on in the same process as common bonded brake linings. This was several years ago and I know off at least two machines that are still running with these relined isolators in them. Hope this helps and good luck.

I can still build isolators, but I am out of flywheels. If you can source a used flywheel, not a problem.
