450 track loader backhoe steering clutch

I am a new owner of a 450 track loader backhoe. I am going over it and have an issue of normal right turn not happening. Right steering clutch seems to be not working. I have much more free travel in right steering lever than the left. This machine had been sitting unused for a few years. Is there a way to get it working without a major overhaul.

probably not.... sounds like the right clutch pack is swollen from rust ..can you get any pics in the steering box?

Removed access covers to both steering boxes. Left side appears dry as a bone. Right side had moisture. Drained about a gallon or so of water from drain plug. Throw out bearings are moving the same on both sides.

Thanks for the information. That thread you linked will be very helpful when I do the clutch rebuild. I have a few rocks and stumps to dig before that happens.
