So far what I have found missing are all the cowl and hood fasteners , the upper spring off the throttle shaft and governor control , the correct air cleaner hose and the correct bolt for the air cleaner clamp . JDParts has some of the items , and they want gold prices for them

Now to the question , has anyone bought the Studs (JD# M315T) Item #3 page 85-10 in the 420 parts manual from John Deere ? And If you have are they the correct type ? Reason I ask is the drawing on JDParts shows a round headed fastener instead of a flat head . I see it will be expensive to replace all the fasteners but I would rather spend the money and not have the ends of the all thread the other people who had it used to hold the hood and cowling on the Crawler .
Or does anyone know of a source of them other than John Deere ?
Now to the Throttle spring and the governor spring , (JD# M 1853 T) since they are the same part # and I am missing one of them should I replace the one on the governor assembly to make sure that the springs are the same weight and length or just use the information from the description to check the existing spring , the springs are $24.99 each . While doing that I figure to replace the friction disc's (JD# M1860T)on the lever also , and I am hoping the throttle lever will stay where you set it .
The air cleaner hose (JD#M3285T)is available from John Deere also and will needs to be replace as it is just a piece of ill fitting radiator hose right now . It is $67.50 but should last a long time so at least it will fit correctly
Any information on other sources for parts would be gladly accepted .
Lavoy , Do you have any of the parts above ?
