831 Loader Shims

Post by macagahauto » Mon May 27, 2024 9:20 pm

Working through this new to me 440ICD. The 831 loader is sloppy with a lot of play at the lower bushing on the forward bell crank. I pulled the out big bolt that holds the arm to the bushing. The bushing seems tight, but there is side to side slop. I see shims on the inside between the bolt with washer and lift arm. They're 1.75" ID and 5.25" OD. I see no listing in the parts manual for a shim. Probably 1/32" or 1/16" thick. Anyone know where to source these? Make them myself?

Thanks.

Mike P.

With enough hunting you can likely find some that will work somewhere. However, it is easiest is to just make what you need.
