1010 ongoing woes

My 1010 is trying depsperately to transform itself into a parts machine. Last night I took the drive pinion out of the final drive and the bearings fell out. The pinion gear itself is chipped on every tooth and from what I can see of the bull gear, not good. I can move the bull gear back and fort in there with my fingers. To make matters worse, the parts machine I have is of a different serial number range, so those parts won't interchange. Oh the joys of restoration!

Late last night I got my rebuilt LH final drive installed on to the machine, now I can say at least that portion is "100%" Quite an educational experience, thanks to Lavoy and others for all the advice! Would I do it again? Already taking the bolts out of the RH side!
