pull the valve cover off and turn it over slowly by bumbing the starter and watch the rocker arms and valves also the injectors. make sure every thing is moving up and down as it should. Crack the lines until you get fuel up to the injectors. Give her a little shot of either as you turn it over and if every thing is ok it will take off. I just bought one that the injectors were stuck I got them losened up and it runs but could run better. I am going to try some injector cleaner in it and see what happens but am heading out to Portland tomorrow so it will be a while before I get back to it. good luck

well ill have to do that.. but on your injectors i never use cleaner.. i learned from my boss that a pint of auto tranny fluid in the desial will clean that fuel system right up.. and restor power.. we did this to a ford tractor with a turbo that was only pushing like 50hp. when it was spost to be like 60 something... and we ran it on the dino and then did the tranny fluid in the tank and about 15-20 minits later it started re-gaining power, i always use it in my tractors for lubercation.. its cheaper

If it revved up on you, it is most likely a bad blower seal, and will need to be fixed. There is an update to a newer style seal that is better, but has to be done at a Detroit shop.

If it is the governor, check all of the linkages for binding and wear.
