As a general rule, loaders have little value.

Interesting, one two bolt chain and one four bolt chain and neither are flat pads like you would expect on a loader. AFAIK four bolt chains started late in the life of 440ICs. I also think the chains are on backwards.

tracks could be reversed, got that things out of the dirt and trees, been there for a long time i guess. probably the guy didn,t know. the four bolts one look like its been installed improperly, can only place 2 bolts in the holes.
anyway, i just notice a data plate on my loader arm assembly. its a model 90. does it have a value, got a few people here that want it. would like to know if its worth it selling that part. thanks

Hi,
Yes, you want the grousers facing forward when looking at them from the operating position. The grousers want to hit the ground, then the rest of the pad.
And, one does not want grousers with a loader. Tough on the rollers due to the much greater weight of a loaded bucket plus counter weights. Not that you have counterweights. Nor, much grouser height left anyway.
The 4-bolt pads are on a 2-bolt rail, so that is another odd thing. But, as it is they might work ok. I am unsure of just how they might interfere with themselves as the thing moves. They are not centered properly on the links. I don't know for sure, never having seen a machine with 4-bolt pads on 2-bolt rails before.....
There is supposed to be a pad overlap when on the ground to keep dirt and stones out of the roller area. Then, that overlap opens up as they come around the mountain, meaning the sprocket and front idler. There is also some space for pinching together and binding as they ride over the top. But as long as they don't make a bunch of popping noise, which would indicate they are binding up, that ought to be OK, too.
But, hey!, I have seen lots worse machines coming out of the weeds than that one looks to be.
