I had this guy in the cross hairs at about 175 yds. By the time I traded the rifle for a camera he was about 300 yds out.

He actually watched me and my dog walk from my house to the shop (100 yds) and my wife drive down the drive way. He was sitting in some rocks (I saw him as I walked to the shop) and I didn't realized what it was until I put the cross hairs on him. My dog had been barking a lot this morning.. at least he knew something wasn't right!!

Even at 300 yds, I would have put a mag or two out there just to let him know he wasn't welcome back!

That's what my wife said when she got home and found out about him..

When I first went out, at 175 yds he could have been dead meat. I had dead solid rest over my truck windshield and the X was on him. About 2 mos after close of the season

Maybe he'll visit again this fall

2 yrs ago I shot a Bobcat about 100' to the right of where he was.

No catamounts here in VT any more. Must be nice to see - from a distance.

One member of our local wildlife ~ 250 lbs just out of hibernation. Thought my bees might be inviting; the electric fence told him otherwise.

Our cat population is blooming for some reason. Not many in this end of the state, but they don't want any of them here either, not their natural habitat. Out west is where they belong, and plenty of habitat there.
