I was wondering how I was going to load logs onto my portable sawmill. So I welded two chain hooks to each end of the blade. I can push the blade up against the center of the log and take a wrap around it and hook it back up to the blade. I was amazed at how easily it lifted!! With the six way blade it is a simple matter of positioning the log onto the bunks of the mill. You do have to be a little careful with a 40 ft log when you swing around, the ends are moving at a pretty good speed! It is really nice to be able to lift the logs right out of the dirt, rather than skidding them around the yard, makes for less sharpening on my saw blades.
