JD 350 c reverser leaks

Post by mike22 » Tue Feb 11, 2014 6:23 pm

I have a 350 c with about 5400 hours. It loses reverser fluid maybe a 1/2 gallon per 8 hours. Most of the fluid seems to leak onto the skid plate. Im looking for advice and pointers on repairing it. Any advice would be helpful. much appreciated Mike

Pull the floor panels out and give it a good pressure wash. Run it for a while with the panels out, That should give you a idea where it is leaking. Then we can suggest what you might be looking at for repairs depending where the oil is coming from. Front or rear seals, valve body, fluid filter, cooling lines, lots of places for a leak.

Mine leaked in the same spot as soon as I bought it an drove it onto my trailer. It was the seal between the reverser and engine. Bad bearing on the input shaft took the seal out. $275.00 in parts including fluids and filter. 12 hrs. of your time.
Hope this helps Neil
