I can't find my tooling charts right now, but I question if they are the same rails. If they are, that would be the first example I have heard of commonality between manufacturers in undercarriage, especially that far back. You might have more nowadays, but back then, everybody's rails were different from everybody elses among the major manufacturers.

They are a perfect match other than pads

We have actually taken the tracks off of the oc12 and placed the rails from the D4 on it and everything matches up with the sprocket teeth ,rollers and front wheels .......the spacing is perfect from side to side...they actually fit better than the originals.......if we could just swap the pads we would .........but unfortunatley it would be way to much work ... the front 2 holes line up perfect but we would need to burn the back holes out along with the bottom lip on each pad........this is why we are looking for D4 pads......thanks

I also have A JD 440icd with an 831 loader that is in excellent condition other than the hydraulic valve.....i am thinking over the idea of replacing it with a joystick......this crawler is at my camp and i can't get to it till spring ....you wouldn't happen to know the thread size on the valve would you?......That way i can order one now and then replace it when i go there...saves me a 100 mile trip........oh and i am also looking for the threaded track adjuster for this machine....just need the threaded end not the hole piece.......threads are mushed pretty bad.......thanks

Make sure you get a joystick that will go down to 1500PSI or you will damage something.
Not sure on thread size, sorry.
