450B 6-way onto a 440IC??

Post by weeds14 » Tue Nov 29, 2011 8:02 am

Hi guys-
I was wondering if you can put the 6-way blade fromm a 450B onto a 440IC. Namely, if the mounting hole/brakets line up.

Thanks for the help!

I know an older chap with a bit too much time on his hands and he tried but didn't succeed installing a 450B blade on a 440IC.I bought the blade years ago when an other contractors 450B slid off his float forward facing down by Elmira Ontario at around 65 mph .I lifted it on my float with my excavator and bought the old Deere from his insurance company.I brought the 450B home and the blade was touching the front of the track on the right side [The impact cork screwed both angle rams ]so I acquired the blade, controls and linkage from this old fellow up north It worked but everyone in 300 miles knew that dam dozer and it's past .Thanks to the local TV station .It kept me busy into the winter changing blades I sold it to a local home builder and it is still working though! .Digitup.
