440IC for sale in North Carolina

John Deere 440IC to WORK or SHOW...$6200

The Dozer was built in 1959. I do not know the hours as on the machine as the meter does not work. However, the rebuilt engine and under-carriage have less than 200 hours on them.

This is an old and used machine, but you can put it to work on the farm, or take it to the show.

. . .. . .. . .. . .. . ...Things rebuilt ( our replaced new):

The engine block was professionally bored by a machine shop and rebuilt with NEW -- head, pistons, rings, main bearings, rod bearings, water-pump, exhaust manifold, all engine gaskets. . . The carburetor was REBUILT and While the engine was out the clutch was also replaced with a new clutch.

Whole new ignition system; the (wires, points, rotor button, Distributor cap, points etc) were replaced and the system was converted to a 12 volt system.

The under-carriage has NEW sprockets, and the links (tracks- both left & right) were replaced with a good used set.

ALTHOUGH NOT NEW, The steering brakes / clutches works on both sides and the dozer turns well either left or right -- and either going forward or backward.

The six way blade works in all six directions -- some, but not all the hoses are new. The controls all work well, but may need some adjustment as the blade does drift slowly down.

The WENCH on the back DOES NOT WORK; it is missing some parts (cable & brakes) and they tell me it may need a PTO link. I have not need it, so, I did not fix it.

I also have illustrated parts and the shop repair / service manuals ; ( parts manual on paper + service, Shop repair and parts Manuals on CD.

You can see more pictures AND videos of the machine running at the link below. ......
