40C & 420C undercarage swap

Can a 5 roller 40C undercarriage be swapped with a 4 roller 420C undercarriage?

Is it worth the effort, and will it make a 420C more stable and a better work tractor?

It can be done, but I would not recommend it. The trackframes are different, and mount on different size crossbars, rails are different, and sprockets are different.
420 has more power, can be a 5 speed and reverser, although the reverser can be put on a 40. Final drives are heavier depending on serial number. 420 is a pressurized cooling system with a water pump.
