injector pump problem

Well, it does have steel tracks and it is yellow and blue-green but it ain't running...

My excavator injector pump is only putting fuel to one cyl. It sat for 9 mos and I just put new rings in and now it won't start. This may have been part of why I was having problems with it last yr.

Any one have any experience with a 2 cyl Yanmar diesel injector pump?? I have the parts book but I've never been in one of these things. It does not look too complicated, but......

Well, this is interesting.

Can't buy parts from any source I've found. Rebuilders want $550-600 to rebuild mine. I can buy a new one for $325-350.

hi Gus! yea 325 for a new one! you can pretty much deduce that they are a throw away item! i'm pretty sure a friend of mine had the same problem but it was a wheeled tractor. sounds like you figured out which is the best way to go. good luck with your project! Randy from Michigan
