Hello
I am new to this site and new to crawlers so not sure if I am posting this right or not. I have a 350 JD crawler and the track frames are bent. Can anyone tell me were I can find a set and what would be a fair price to pay? Also I need a track adjuster (cylinder and piston). Thanks

Bent track frames
During my recent 450B track replacement I found the rear two feet of one track frame (not the rock guard; rather the 3/4" channel) was bent out. It was hard to figure how that could have happened but I still wanted it straight. With a friend, we used two cutting torches (too cheap to buy a rosebud) and banged it back straight.
Sometime later after things cooled down I found that the sprocket on that side would not fit between its hub and the frame. I hadn't had a problem removing the old one. I accused my supplier of giving me different width sprockets but measurements exonerated him.
I now had a high probability reason why that rail was bent as it allowed the sprocket to go on. I wasn't willing to bend it out again, on principle, and I had already painted the heated area.
Previously I had noticed that the other sprocket was not centered on the roller and I now remembered that the former owner had mentioned replacing the tubular track frame support bar. Some quick measurements revealed that he had not centered the tractor on the track frames. With much gratitude for the 1" impact driver, I loosened all the track frame mounting bolts and used a small hydraulic jack to slip that tube within its mounts and center everything up. It was an annoying interruption but in the end I felt better for doing it all the right way.
