first post . bare with me. rebuilding my 440 gas engine, not sure if stock engineunderstand later year motors have more horse power 2 compete with deisels, what was changed? block number t19474t is this really a 1960? number i came up with in parts book was t10474t

Bottom half of engine did not change from one HP to the other. Later gassers had different head, some carb changes, and ran faster.
