Help with serial numbers on French machines...

Does anyone have any info on how to look up seial #'s on french machines??? The one I have is a model 7450 and serial # is 001866C0. Was told it is a C, but just want to know for sure.... Can anyone help or give me direction to look for info.... Thanks so much for any help.......Thomas

I think I have heard that the serial number will sometime say, for instance, 450CXXXXXX, which means "crawler" rather than the model number. It may be that the gentleman that sold it to you got that confused and it is really a straight 450.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment
