1010 work pictures

Post by fixedforever » Sun Oct 18, 2009 7:26 pm

After replacing the steering clutch, idler busings, and many other repairs on the machine. I figured I would post some photos of it running. Here I used it to dig a hole for a septic tank. My hydrolic pump still struggles to move the blade after 10 minutes, I think it may need to be re-built. It sounds like a power steering pump with low fluid. Any ideas how to fix that?

What are you running for hyd fluid? I agree you pump is likely shot, but fluid can affect it as well.

It came with ATF in it, it was good for the first 4 months, then the hydraulics started getting weak after 45 minutes.
Now it has Tractor fluid 303 in it, and its slightly worse, it gets weak after 30 minutes.

What’s the best way to deal with the pump? I was thinking of bringing the pump to a hydraulic place to have it re-built. Should the front end come off to remove it, or can I just get it though the skidplate?

Switch to a straight weight hyd fluid, that might help. Try a straigth 20 or 30 weight. Probably called AW48 or AW64.
Pump might come out through the grille. Don't know if those pumps are very rebuildable, but can be found new.

That I don't know, I have heard $800 from Deere, but less if you can find it aftermarket.

Give this company a call for an after market pump, or even a repair of your pump, cylinders, servos etc.

Was that painted gray? It's an interesting color.

It's painted camouflage to make it invisible.
