420 trans small lever ?

Can anybody tell me what the small lever to the left of the shifter does? Thanks.

That is the PTO shifter.

It's supposed to be a PTO lever.. but if your trans housing is cracked from something being up against that gear and going arround a time or three.. it's the "Lets pump GL1 all over the ground Lever!"

Not only is it a power drain.. it's an fill level monitor.. no over fillin' again!
