Is there a place to buy John Deere parts online?

Post by Gil » Tue Apr 29, 2008 5:32 am

My local John Deere dealer has just converted to Kubota and dropped Deere. Now I will have to drive a lot farther to get to a dealership. There are some parts, like gaskets, gears, etc. That I cannot get anywhere else.

Does anyone know of a dealer or a source for ordering original John Deere parts online and having them delivered to my door in a little brown UPS truck? At $3.50 a gallon and the time it takes from my day, a few dollars in shipping charges is not that consequential.

My dealer was always reluctant to ship items directly to me. I had to go pick them up when they were in. At a minimum I would like to find a dealer in the mid-East where shipping parts is a standard part of their business, even if I have to order them over the phone. But a completely online ordering process for a complete line of factory parts would even be better.

Hi,
You might be able to work with<www.rnjohnsoninc.com>. :D They are very good about direct ship and ship from their stock. They are probably the best JD dealer that I've dealt with when it comes to "older" machines, etc. :o Example: I needed 6 apron slats for a 1950's manure spreader! I contacted my normal dealer and they said that those were "no longer available", but if I got the measurements they could have them fabricated! $$$$$ I called "RNJ" and they shipped 3 from stock and I had them in 3 days! 1 day later I received 3 more from the Syracuse dist center!! So much for no longer avaliable!!!

I can get them for you as well if you don't find a local source.

honestly, lavoy is the best option you are going to find,he is great to deal with, knows more about these old machines than the dealers and if there is a better option than a factory deere part he knows it.

I think you can buy them off of www.jdparts.com . I have not bought anything from there, but they have prices listed after you create a username and password. My local John Deere dealer uses the same website, you can have parts delivered to your house or to your local dealer. Of couse this is a John Deere website at John Deere prices. A link can be found from the John Deere homepage. I use this site for exploded parts views. Hope this helps.

James,

I like your slogan about good neighbors, and it is very true.
One of my favorite sayings that I heard years ago is: "I have friends that I have not yet used!"
