1010CA Rebuild Project, Part XIV

Finally got a few dry days to paint. The last couple of days has comprised of looking for all the little linkage parts that I had scattered about and hooking them back up. Here's the left rear view with all the major pieces back in place and painted.



And the right side view of the same.



And the right front. I'm real happy about how this project is turning out.



The center console with the throttle and gear shift linkages hooked up. I need to make a few pieces for the hydraulic levers so they're not installed yet.



First coat of paint on the deck plates, seat, and 3pt cylinder frames.



And finally, one of the pieces I'm making. This is one of the levers up under the console that controls the hydraulic valve. I've got it set up to weld and then it drilled for a roll pin. I might head back out tonight to weld it up but the mosquitoes have gone nuts here with all the rain and they're eating us alive.



For those of you just putting up with all these posts, it's almost done so you don't have much more to endure. For the rest of you, next steps are the wiring harness, fuel line, and radiator. All for now.

Great job- I don't mind putting up with the posts, in fact, I'll miss them when you are done. Nothing to endure for me but a wait for the next one!

The progressive pictures are excellent. The only thing that could be any better would be a location on here to have all of the pictures in sequential order to see a "start to finish."
Glad you take the time to get pictures, please keep them coming.

Bill I wish I had the time to do that .That is going to be a nice unit when you are done .My old Deeres sit in the back of the shop and every time I get close to looking at them .I end up doing an other project that takes me any direction but the back of the shop. Digitup.

By all means - keep posting pictures - they give me encouragement. On a funny note, I now know why my jack stands are all differnt colors.

Have you made any further progress or are you still hunting undercarrage pieces?

I've made some progress and was going to take a few pictures last night but ran out of time. Lavoy helped me out on the sprockets and track frame steel but I've got a bit of welding work to do on both. I actually spent some time yesterday practicing weld buildups with my little buzz box flux core welder and it looks like it will work pretty well for building up the track frames and rollers.

I'll try to get a few pictures tonight. The radiator and shroud, plug wiring, generator, fenders, hydraulic valve, and rockshaft are all back together and I've been working on the track rollers and idlers along with a bunch of little parts and tubing.
