350c reverser fluid leak
350 c reverser is leaking fluid i cannot tell where its coming from but leaves a trail of drips on each side of tracks as i move useing about 3 gallons of hydrolic fluid in 8 hrs dozer runs and operates great except when resevoir get low mainly when i get on hillside it loses pulling power i can add fluid and everything goes back to normal any ideas whats going on
Please, please ,please STOP using the machine, fix your leak!!! Your reverser is running out of oil, it is incredibly bad for the reverser to run out of oil. Pull up your floorpans, drop the belly pan, clean up all the dirt so you can see whats going on and then find your leak. There are 4 steel tubes on the outside of the reverser on the left side. Two go up to the radiator, they have a joint above the bellhousing, and convert over to rubber hoses up near the radiator. There are also 2 that go back to the steering clutch valve under your seat. Check these lines out and get back to us.
You also need to check the weep holes in the bottom of the bell housing on the reverser and the one at the back of the reverser where it bolts to the transmission. If your leak is coming out of either of these weep holes then you will have a seal leaking.
