350 track adjuster leankage

Kemp.Im going to give it a try now I snapped on how to adjust the steering. It go's like this block the levers 1 1/2 in for slack loosen the leankage nut pull back the retainer clip, slip out the stud an screw in the turnbuckle in, that should tighten the clutches . Will any thing full apart ? It looks like its never been me messed with. Is there trick in doing track adjustments. Thank you gerald
