power-beyond for my 455G
power-beyond for my 455G
I purchased a 9310G backhoe attachment for my 455G and now need the hydraulic parts to run it. I am having a rough time finding a G series loader in salvage. Maybe someone could point me in a direction I havent thought of yet...the dealer wants two arms, a leg, and a happy ending for these parts!

We mounted a hoe on a widepad 450C dozer machine a few years ago and ran into a similar problem. On the dozer hydraulic valve there was no room for a powerbeyond valve. We had a few options (1) install the factory valve (can only run dozer or backhoe but not both as the same time (2) install a loader valve that we had and loose the nice t-bar control for the 6 way dozer (3) plum a T into the high pressure hydraulic line and install a second relief value.
We went with optin 3. It was the least expensive and gave us the best result. We mounted the extra relief valve under the seat. It took some adjusting to get the relief set right, we turned it down and then moved it up slowly until the hoe functioned properly. The only thing that i would do differently is use larger hoses and fittings to get more flow to the hoe. I am used to the hoes on the loader machines which have a larger pump so it could be working to its full potential already. I may install a loader pump to really get the bucket moving.
My next machine will be a 555G Loader machine with a angle dozer on the loader, 24" pads and a 9310 hoe.

Wow, expensive
I can't beleive the cost is $3K. The cost on our conversion was zero, except for about 4 hours of labour. We had all the hoses and fittings on hand.
Found a 450G widepad with a 9550 hoe all rigged up. Just waiting for the guy to figure out what he wants for it.[/i]

The bulletin that the dealer printed out for me says I need:
AT 113594 -Hydraulic oil cooler and plumbing
AT 86787 -Power beyond and rear hydraulics w/quick couplers
The power beyond housing is 900 bucks alone. The seat conversion will take about a thousand off the 3k if I rig it myself (I referenced my price sheet and saw the seat was in the 3k price). Im hoping theres enough slide I can just pull the seat out the front and install backwards from the rear in those same slides. Might have to cut or dremel out the stops.
