When they do not post a price, take your accountant with you when you try to buy it.
I must say that I know nothing about what the AG models looked like when shipped. But, do I see tale tale signs of industrial yellow on there?
The PTO has been taken out, likley to be sold separately.

Now that is funny, looks a lot like the 1010 that sat in a shed up here for many years. Oh, wait a minute, it is that 1010!
I have non idea what fary wants for it, but it is a decent crawler. I don't remember any more what I did to the crawler, but I know I did some steering clutch work, new wiring harness, and some other stuff. It needs pins and bushings.

If memory serves, and at my age it doesn't as often, the John Deere medallions on the sides of the hood with the black background were only used for industrial machines.
Ag machinery used a yellow background.
But they could have been changed, but why?

Not to open a can of worms, but is it a true AG 1010 C or is it a sneaky paint job?
The price/value swing would be wide based on which it really is.
I can hear them now, "it was that way when we bought it", or"we were told it was an AG".
It can be amazing how much tractor traders can "forget" when they are trying to make a sell.

I probably should have worded it differently. That was my brother's 1010 crawler. Regardless of hood emblems or other items, it is a genuine ag crawler and wears the correct serial number tag. He owned that crawler for many years. I have done a fair amount of work to it, and prior to my brother owning it, it was owned by a friend of mine.
Just a note about Gary Polk, whether this was our crawler or not, if Gary says something is what he says it is, you can pretty much take that to the bank.

In that case, if we could find many more like you and Gary, this hobby would be even more fun.
Thanks for clearing up the fact that is an AG crawler.

I forgot to answer Dave's question.
Don't know why they would have been changed, but one possible answer is that they were damaged at one point and needed to be raplaced. Given the low total production of ag crawlers, I don't think they made a lot of the emblems for parts inventory, so in later years, the standard emblem would have become the replacement part. The grill in this crawler is black, but you can see the putrid puke yellow they used on the ag crawlers emblems background under it. I have never understood why on the ag green painted "industrial" equipment they used such a putrid shade of yellow. Why not just use the standard yellow that is used on the ag tractors, why come up with a new shade? I used to think it was a mistake, but I have seen some original ag green 440 crawlers and wheel tractors, in addition to the 1010 Ag's that I know it was not. It would be fun to find and NOS ag emblem so that we could get a color match.

I would love to have the G-1000 Vista a couple of tractors down the page. Wonder how they let a 504 diesel get stuck?
