3 pt hitch for '59 440 ICD

Looking for advise on how much is involved in fitting a 3pt hitch, for sale locally, to my 440. I've seen some pictures and the back end looks like a plate of spaghetti with all the hoses etc. Is my unit set up for this accessory? What else may I need? I want to put some weight back there and a 3pt with a ripper etc. may be just right. Thanks for this site and all the opinions it generates. FYI the 3pt is on e-bay.

It sounds to me like you are talking about a 440 with an 831 loader. If so, the hitch will not really fit. It could be jury rigged to fit, but the 3PT hitch was never designed to go on a loader crawler.
