440 transmission

Lavoy, I have the 5sp transmission on the 440, serial # 456482. (jumps out of 2nd gear) Am I reading the parts book correctly? It looks to me like earlier model gears will not work as replacements. I was wanting to replace the sliding gear and the drive gear for 2nd.

Any other things to check before I start pricing the gears?

Yes, they are different, you have the big transmission, might be a little tougher to find gears, I do not believe I have any left.

ed at crawler hevan should have the gears.. that were i got my ring and pinion for my 440 big tranny..
