3315 winch

How much oil goes in these winches. Book says 3 quarts but I think that's wrong. Do you fill it til oil comes out of the middle plug on the round plate on the side or to the big plug that goes towards the final drive. Thanks

Here is info on a 3325 winch from my 450E operator's manual. As far as I know the check plug is the same location for both winches. The 3325 winch says 9 quarts in the oil change section. If you fill to the check plug, with Hy Gard or other JDM J20C oil, you should be fine. What machine is this on? I think the 3315 info should be in the Operator's manual for a 350C or D.

Thanks JimB, the winch is on a 350B. 9 qts is more like it to fill it up to that fill hole. The service book says 3 quarts and i knew that wasn't enough. I was filling it up to the center screw on the round plate. Dont know why they put a screw there that doesn't do anything.
