Wow, those could be the worst pair of sprockets I've ever seen! You thinking about keeping it all original or going with 350 rails.

I already purchased 2 old sprockets from Rob(Thomastractorservice) they were the ones on ebay..I just also found a 58 440IC crawler w/a 91 loader for 550. bucks here in georgia,excellent rails/pads, sprockets, etc, I am going to pirate what parts I need and sell the rest, hate to say it but the IC is almost in better shape then my ICD......Mark Cc

hi,

Man! That *is* the worst set of sprockets I have ever laid eyes on. How in heck does that one drive the rail at all???

This is a great set of pix, though. Every time I get to thinking that my 420c is looking really old and ratty, some kind soul posts some pix on here of a machine that makes mine look like it just rolled out of the factory! :P

Man! What folks won't do to a machine. I am constantly amazed at how these things are abused and yet still work more-or-less. :)

Enjoy the rebuild. They can be hell on earth while you're into it, but as soon as you get it back together and take that first ride, it's a wonderful feeling. :)

I bought this crawler site unseen and not knowing anything about them and what to look for..so Once I started cleaning off the 20 year old dirt, and seeing for myself the task at hand, it was alot to justify the need to invest into it....but the fact thats its complete and all there, makes it a good unit to resurect.as my intensions are to restore to average condition and work the heck out of it. the area in the photos is in the carolina mountains, and theres a large creek behind the shed in one photo, that I want to clear around with the 440... , but as for the sprockets , yea, you ought to see the pins on the rails, and what some one did to a link, .I been searching for sprockets and rails for some time, and once located, is when I started to tear her down, I thnk between all the people and lavoy on this site, her hart will beat again and strong........thanks for comments,,,,Sincerly..Mark.Cc
