JD 350 Straight - New to Me - Now What?

Post by bulletpruf » Wed May 06, 2026 6:11 pm

Supposed to be delivered tomorrow or Friday. It's a 350 Straight, 6 way blade, S/N appears to be 058355T, so that's a 1967 model, correct? Anyway, it runs, steers, and operates, but needs plenty of TLC. Once I've gone through it, I'll use it on my buddy's ranch, on the deer lease, etc.

First things first, I need the full complement of manuals - operator's manual, parts catalog, and service manual, right? I found the sticky with manuals, but I'm kind of confused as to what I need.

Is there an operator's manual for earlier than OM T27996, which appears to be S/N 60524 and up?

I need the SM 2063, right?

And the PC 921 for the crawler?

And the PC 916 for the 6305 6-way blade?

Am I missing anything?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott, Not sure how your post went unanswered. Sorry about that. You should be able to go to the JD Parts page and order what ever manual you need. (https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/ ) You will need to be serial number specific and they should be able to fix you right up. Either in electronic or print paper versions.

Any recommendations on a manufacturer and where to buy track shoes? It has loader shoes on it now and I'd like to swap to single grouser dozer shoes.

Thanks

My 6-way blade joystick and linkage are real loosey-goosey. If anyone has a complete one (or good component parts) they can sell, please let me know.

Last price I knew on joystick kit was just under $2000, you'll have to take it apart, weld all the holes shut and redrill, put in new roll pins and a new bushing.

I checked with the dealer; the kits are no longer available, so it looks like I'm going to rebuild it, or buy a complete one so I can still use the machine while I'm' rebuilding another one.

Thanks

Scott
