1010c repair in central Wisconsin

Post by newwood » Wed Oct 29, 2025 11:33 am

I’ve got a 1010c Diesel with a 6 way (interior mount 612 blade) that has need of some new hydraulic and reverser lines and fan belt. That involves taking the nose/grille off with a chain hoist—the bolts for which are pretty much inaccessible because of the boom and angling frame. It’s a bigger project than I can handle. Any suggestions for someone who could do it near Merrill, Tomahawk, Medford, Athens or central Wisconsin area? Any advice appreciated. Jack

If a member is not from your search area it is going to be hard for anyone to give you any specific help. I can suggest you check with some local earthwork contractors. They might have a small shop and be able to do something during downtime or they may know of a shop that does such work. Ask your local equipment dealer parts guys, they might know of someone who purchases parts that has a small shop. Check with any tractor club(s) in your area. Some vocational schools/training centers will take on projects. Good luck.
