should i email you directly through gmail or should we talk here briefly? currently the issue i have with my JD 420c is the right side clutch plates have broken. im trying to find some concrete online diagrams to show how many plates per side. it seems everything points towards me buying my own operators manual, service manual and parts catalog. any recommendations of free resource diagrams? i know you mentioned parts you have for sale.

email or call (701-361-1006 during CST business hours) Lavoy directly, business dealings don't belong on an open forum. His business is repairing and restoring early JD crawlers. He will have the manuals you need and parts, along with the knowledge and experience to help with your questions.

You will want all three manuals (Operator's, service, and parts). I don't not know of any free online source for the service manual and some of the other manuals found online are incomplete or have errors. John Deere parts manuals online are available at jdparts.com. However, you may find a hard copy easier to use as the parts catalog covers the 420 and 430 wheel tractors as well as the crawlers. With a hard copy you can mark the pages that apply for future reference vs figuring it out each time you go to the website.
