9550 Backhoe parts

Post by Blueoval77 » Mon May 19, 2025 5:14 pm

OK , so , every single control lever on this 9550 Backhoe I got was stuck . Upon inspection the small rubber boots at the base of each lever was still in tact but held moisture and put a rotten ring around each, 6 Total and it looks like two will survive. I am getitng them moving but im sure the bore is toast at the top. Where does everyone find support for these things in the aftermarket ? I mean I have found everything I ever needed for the crawler itself pretty easy over the years of owning many of them but ive never owned one of the Hoes and had to buy parts for it. Anyone have any tips ?

Thanks.

Kyle

I suggest using the parts catalog and finding the part numbers to use when searching the web.

Yeah ive kinda done that and altho the parts are clearly listed they dont really cross over to anything that jumps out at ya. Those little dust boots on each of the control valve shafts just may have been the demise of 4 of mine. They held moisture and it sat and festered for the years this thing sat. I got them all free and I am hoping that rust ring doesnt travel far enough down into the bore to matter . Chipped all the rust off and then ran the emery cloth acrost them until they worked freely . I have my fingers crossed by I am doubtful that its gonna be liquid tight

Thanks for the info.

By and large only parts will be Deere.

Im shocked they will even stock any of this stuff anywhere to be honest. I emailed those brothers up north that do crawler dismantling to see what they might have around and I have a cat guy looking around to see if we can retrofit something else in that space thats modern

I have bought these parts from Deere. They are also a "Gresen" Brand name valve. If Deere doesn't have them then look for them under the Gresen name.

Okay so I checked with Deere and I had them look up your rubber boots for the control valves ( Part number U42834 ) They have like a thousand of them at there distribution center. The parts guy I talked to didn't seem to think there would be any problem in getting you what you need.

After swapping fittings around and tearing the back of the 455 apart to find the manual valve that turns on the Aux lines all was well until a geyser started around the main boom spool !! All the others didnt even seep anything but that one is shot so I guess it all comes off now and try to rebuild . Looks like its around 380 per segment to buy them . Atleast you still can.

So I found what I think might be the cilprit or atleast it is leaking and risted terribly . Ther relief valve for that spool . Part Number AT39062 . I called my local John deere joint and they said no go. Are there any other sources or people with connections on here that can look any other way ? Theres probably a million relief valves in existence that will screw right in there and work

Thanks

Kyle
