my new starter came in today, checked B+ from battery to starter, looks like someone used cable that came on cheap $5.00 jumper cables. So I am replacing with welding lead, soldering both ends on and with heat shrink on both. HHmmm even put cheap cable in about 3 feet of garden hose.
You can see where the battery cable had gotten hot at the starter, melted the insulation back about 2 inches from solenoid.
Also going to replace solenoid and B+ wires that comes from the alternator and key switch.
Anything that I am missing doing this starter replacement???>
Thanks, everyone
Have a good day
