being an x jd partsman for 25 yrs i never take never for an answer--re will the idler fit--the adjusting yokes are the same--as one follows thru the info online the the hydraulic adjusters are the same--so that leaves the track frame-i am sure they are close enuff to make them work..note: i am not close to the 1010 nor do i have any 350's handy here in northern b.c. ca. what is the big 'why' as to-they don't fit..colin

Being a CURRENT parts guy specifically on John Deere crawlers for 35 + years, and having owned over 200 of them, plus owning this site, there is absolutely ZERO chance of fitting a 350 front idler directly on a 1010 without an extensive hack job on the trackframes and a complete redesign.
So I'll try it again, NO it won't fit, two completely different crawlers, two completely different concepts as to how the idler mounts. I don't care if the adjuster will bolt on, that has nothing to do with how the idler mounts.

Hi,

Personally, I have always just gone with: There are about three bolts on a 350 that cross to anything earlier and that's about all.
