350c stop moving

Post by AUkevin » Mon Oct 21, 2024 6:14 am

I’ve got a 350c that I was pushing some trails at the hunting camp with, nothing hard. Washing pushing in 1st gear and the dozier just stopped moving. I put it in second gear, nothing. Try to the reverser nothing.

Obviously something is broke in the drive train, I can push the clutch in and out, I hear a difference from in and out.

Just looking on advise of where to start. Thanks

I would guess the coupling between the reverser and trans stripped out.

That is my thought also. Big question is how do I get to that?

Hi,

Pull the engine and reverser out.

These machines are built around the transmission. The reverser and engine hang off the front of the trans. The steering clutches and final drives hang off the sides of the trans.

It's a fair bit of work....

The coupler is meant to strip out the internal splines and so save the external splines on the two shafts (which are a lot more costly and difficult to change out). Hopefully, all you need is a new coupler.

Thanks, what I need to know. It will probably sit at my shop for a good bit of time, just don’t have the time to commit to it.
