John deere 2010 dozer
John deere 2010 dozer
Hi new to the group, I just purchased a 2010 dozer for light maintenance on my farm, just curious as to how you adjust tue steering clutches, it it the short bolt under the cover held on by 4 bolts under the seat? Also when I turn either way the machine comes to a stop and when I hit the clutch it takes off again but as soon as I turn again it comes to a stop. Is there a valve that's bypassing and not allowing it to build pressure until the clutch is disengaged? I've read it was a problem child but it will do waht I need it to do, it runs good, turns left and right blade goes up and down, gas machine with hlr transmission thanks f9r any info while I wait for a manual

Welcome to the boards.
It sounds like a full adjustment of the engine clutch and steering clutches would be a good starting point. It is not a just turn one thing to adjust the steering clutches, you need the manual to follow, do all the steps in the order given.
You can download a free pdf copy of the Operator's manual from the JD bookstores. Here is a link to the Construction and Forestry bookstore.
https://www.johndeeretechinfo.com/
On that page enter 2010 in the Model search box then click the search icon at the right of the center Publications search box. You should get a list of manuals available for the 2010s. the list will include some attachments and wheel tractors, so read the descriptions. You will want your serial number as well since there are a couple of different operator's manuals for the crawlers. Find the one that best matches your 2010 and click download. It will download a copy of that manual to your computer which you can save to your computer files to read or print as you need. The service and parts manuals are sold there, not free downloads. You can check with Lavoy, owner of this site, he may have service manuals for sale in his store.
If it works, this link will open the 2010 manual selections (26 results to go through), trying to link direct to the model doesn't always work.

You can use the online parts catalog at jdparts.com. Here is a link to PC728 for the 2010 crawler tractor.
