Does anyone have a source for a new old stock forward/reverser control valve assembly for a 350C machine?
I fear mine has too many hours and the rebuild only fixed so much. Once warm it loses power at the valve through leakage I suspect. Good pressures, all at 125 psi.
Forward/reverser control valve replacement 350 WTB
So you have 125lbs when its messing up? Wouldn't that rule the valve out? If you hold pressure and the machine still slips you can have either the reverser clutch packs or the steering clutches slipping. What exactly got rebuilt? You can get most of the spools shims and springs from deere, if you need a housing you would need to call a salvage yard.
Okay,
I agree with the questions that CatD8RII has asked. The first thing I highly recommend is, you need to get your self a good tech manual. TM 1115 to be exact.
To start with, if all of your pressures are at 125 PSI then that isn't correct. Your "Engagement" pressure, depending on the serial number of your machine should be at least 125 PSI for early 350C machines and 150 PSI for later machines. Your "Cooler" pressure should be somewhere around 90 PSI. Your "Lube Oil" pressure should only be around 25 PSI.
Your post has left several questions that need to be answered before we can help with your issue. Like CatD8RII has asked... Just what was "Rebuilt"? How was it rebuilt? What parts did the mechanic replace and did they follow a tech manual to get it right?
There are a couple of things that can cause the issue you have. Again I agree with CatD8RII in that your control valve may have issues but I doubt that it needs replaced. It may just need a good cleaning or maybe some parts replaced but usually these valves aren't the problem.
Tell us exactly what you have. Along with the other questions already asked... Is your fluid level okay? Was the reverser filter changed when this overhaul occurred? Is your reverser cooler lines and cooler functioning properly? Does your machine steer properly and appear to be engaging the steering clutches. We really need to know exactly what you have had done to this machine. Let us know what you know and we will go from there.

40 plus years working on JD 350s, 400Gs, 450s and other equipment both Ag and Construction.
...to clarify
I should have elaborated a little further on the fix. Here is a brief summary of what was performed on the machine by a certified JD mech w/35 yrs experience.
Replaced all parts that were worn beyond specs-rebuild everything and set to specs from technical manual for SN 721784.
New oils and filter. Unit works fine-will spin tracks when overload blade- after 40 mins of hard working when pushing- both tracks stop-sharp tap of foot clutch reverser neutralizer pedal and full power restored and can finish pass- usually happens when pushing up a slope. After 2 hours machine will not climb a 45 degree slope w/o pushing anything.
What does everyone think?

You're going to need to check the engagement pressure when the machine is hot and acts up. You could tap the gauge in on a whip hose then go run the machine for a while. This will tell you if it is a control issue, or a clutch pack issue. And i think your serial number is a later machine, so as Leonard says, you should have 150 lbs.
If you dont mind me asking, what was the original concern? Also, was the reverser removed from the machine during the repair process? Once it stops pushing up the hill, does it still move ok on level ground? How does reverse travel feel? You could try and backdrag up the slope to see how it pulls.
