well i got all the hydraulic leaks fixed. now after using it all day my left side steering is not working, the right side is fine was rebuild a few years ago and when i got the 350 left side needed to be pulled back hard for it to turn. now after working with it she will not turn when pulling back on lever.
i took the plates off for both sides to check the adjustment on the clutch following the book, left side clutch can be pushed back with my fingers book said to use a screw driver the brake is fine. brake stops the tracks just fine. but right side is not turning when pulling on left lever, pull back on right side left track turns on a dime.
I think the left steering clutch went what do think?
any one close or live to Chenango county NY that has worked on a 350?

I would say its the right clutch. if you pull the right side lever and it turns right then your left clucth is driving the track, if you pull the left lever and the right track is not turning then i would look at the right side.
If you tie back the left lever all the way and look at the right side clutch housing you should see it turning, if it is turning then its the clutch if it is not turn then its deeper the the clutch.
I have done the clutches on my loader and booth sides on my dozer, not that hard to do if you have the time and some basic equipment. I live in Wyoming county NY near Warsaw.

thanks Paul

It could be either side slipping. The way I see it pulling the left lever locks up the left brakes an clutches letting the right side power the left turn. Now going back wards will be the opposite. Im thinking the left clutch is badley out of adjustment or a gernade went off inside the clutch houseing an you will need to get parts form Lavoy.

If you pull any given steering lever, and the crawler stops moving, it is the opposite side clutch that is bad.

thanks for the info. I was up to my place this week end to work on the 350 steering problem, a few things i did was adjust the right side, 1/2 hr later got the adjustment to clutch apart was only able to move it around a 1/2" back as per the book and left side adjustment that side went back around 1 1/2" and was easy to take a part. so there is a problem on the right side throw out bearing moves in and out from what i can see, clutch turns but i can not see the fingers move on it. and there is no power on the right side track , left over powers it , I all so found a crack in the bolt housing for the brake lining it s a 3/4" bolt with the washer the crack is in the brake toggle parts book has a number t 23832 I will have to get one

along with re building the drive and streering housing

I was hoping to find some one to help but no luck. I hope to take this apart in a few weeks just have to a back hoe now to remove the counter weight. my plan is to bring both parts back home with me so i can rebuild it .
