I has made a deal on this 350b with a very early serial number (in the first few hundred made) and on the eve of the 5 hour road trip, the seller reported it would not start as expected.. I decided to re schedule for the following week so I could install a new winch on my trailer. The following weekend the seller had a change of heart and decided to keep the crawler. He Plans to restore it so I introduced him to the Messageboard. It was going to be attached to my backhoe. I

Backhoe Rig Up

Post by JWB Contracting » Tue Mar 20, 2012 4:27 pm

Scott,

You haven't got your 450 dozer running yet? There should be lots of 4219 engines out there.

Your little case hoe will work just fine on the back of a dozer. You would just neet to find some hoe hook brakets and power beyond plumbing. If you can't find them, I can take some pictures and measurements of one of our machines for you.

Too busy cleaning up the tornado mess to be able to work on the 450. I could get by with just a crank and one rod and I have seen them for sale on the net. I advertised for a complete engine on Kijiji and listed all the possable tractors it could found in, but no calls yet.
I will need to use the backhoe to pull stumps around the yard this summer so sometime in May-June I will need to get to it.
I did however talk to a guy who has another 350 loader that has not ran in 10 years and sounds like it has the wide tracks. It is on the back of a old truck that goes with the crawler and has not started in 10 years as well. I will go see it Thursday if the weather holds.
In the meantime, some photos of my 450b...with the engine out

Jason, by the way, thanks for the offer to photo and measure a 450 for me to help with mounting the hoe, that might be the way to go for me.
I went see a 350 straight, dozer tracks, loader last night one hour from here that was complete junk for 2000. It made me feel pretty good about my b and it amazed me how far you can run these crawlers when every part is worn out! Needless to say it did not make it onto my trailer.
