Well Reverser is out

Post by JWB Contracting » Sun Dec 04, 2011 10:58 pm

My dad wanted to get going on this machine. We started at 1 pm and it took us until 5:30 to have the reverser hanging on the shop crane.

We were the previous owner of this wide pad and had welded round bar across the front cross member / frame bolts. Did take quite a while to grind the welds and get the bolts out, but atleast there wasn't any broken bolts.

We think it is jus bad bearing and seals. It that is all, my dad should have it rebult by the weekend and ready for installation. He thinks that we have the bearings and seals in stock.

Project Completed

Post by JWB Contracting » Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:38 pm

We completed the 350C rebuilt over the holidays and re-mounted the Case D125 hoe that was on it before we sold it in 2007. We had to pull the reverser and reseal / rebearing, repair a crack in the c-frame, do some re-wiring to get the factory gauges functioning.

Only thing left to do is get the tach operational and maybe a new seat for the hoe.

This is an excellent size hoe for a 350 Dozer and is big enough to push the tractor forward or reposition side to side. We did switch the hoe over to deere style joy stick controls - absolute must over the 4 lever controls that were on the hoe. Not to heavy, still able to do some dozing without removing the hoe.

Worked well pushing snow on the few passes that I made.
