Reverser checkout

Post by seffena » Fri Sep 16, 2011 8:40 pm

Hello, I was wandering is there a way to checkout a reverser besides installing it. I know out there one of y'all has figured this out.
Thanks
Keith

haha, well that would be the logical answer but i don't have one to start with.
mine was gutted.
the partsbook isn't much to go on.
i understand how it works, and have seen similar apparatus.
some real nice pictures would be appreciated if anybody has them.
and with work being so slow, i'll throw them at the design shop without telling them what it is and say"we gotta build one of these , only better"..

I am rebuilding the reverser, once I get it back together is there a way of making sure it works before I put it back in the frame?

Not really, you can shift the clutch packs and see that it turns by hand, but none of this is duplicating the power and RPM of an engine.
