450c dozer

i have a 450c dozer brought to my shop. i dont have a service manual for this,but was wondering if anyone has experenced oil coming out of bell housing. it has the mechanical through out bearing,as some i have seen has the hydraulic line inside. its quite a bit of oil for just a seal around the jack shaft area. any help would be appreciated. jebson

If it is transmission oil, the likely source would be the transmission gear oil pump. It is located right on the front of the transmission and is driven anytime the transmisson pilot shaft is turning.

You would need to pull the engine and clutch to fix it.
