Just bought this dozer and it is going to need the left side steering clutch and I noticed that the right side final drive housing is cracked. Anybody know where I can find the housing and the best place to buy clutches?
Cberlin, as a new member of this site for the past few months, a few things that I have learned so far;
A good selection of the parts you need are available from the administer of this site, and you can see some of what is available if you go to "Lavoys Little Shop O' Deeres" You can easily send him a private message directly from options on this site. Prices are a fraction of what you would pay at a dealership.
The guys that offer their advice appreciate a little information on your profile like where you are located and an idea of your mechanical understanding.
The library of information that is available for your new crawler by checking the "late model JD crawler technical support" is impressive and reading some of the topics will give you a understanding of how helpful the guys on this site are. Using the search took me a little practice but now I can find old posts on anything I am looking for fairly easily.
If your final drive is in any way repairable, just send a photo of the problem and you will get some good feedback from guys who really know these crawlers. What do you think caused the crack, water or perhaps something broken on the inside?
