Fly wheel with isolator question

Post by The Jug » Tue Jun 03, 2025 3:25 am

Hello. I have JD 350 engine# M43TF serial #106008T The fly wheel on this unit has an isolator so I'm assuming that's why there are no pilot studs as shown in basic manual. But what I'm looking for is in the fly wheel there is pilot bearing. On the JD parts search it does not show this. Is it safe to assume the pilot bearing is not meant to be replaced. Should i just clean this up the best i can and move on. There was some small rust and i worked it with some PB blaster rand compressed air. There does not seem to be any play. Am i asking to pull the motor again or pretty safe?

I am not sure. I see a pilot bearing for some and a bushing for others. Call Lavoy or perhaps Leonard or one of the other fellows with more experience with those will be along soon.

It is in the parts listing someplace, and yes it is a replaceable item.
