Hello all,
Just purchased what was advertised as a 1995 JD 450G and is sporting 450G colors and markings. The serial number looks to be a Hitachi SN? T0DX75M805546* (sorry forgot how to attach pics) It has a Hitachi Tag with JD Made in USA on bottom. It also has a tag with Japanese characters/English stating Model: DX75M, Mfg. No: 4B1-00266. The engine SN is" T04045D477332*. Despite a thorough internet search, I'm unable to find any decoding info on this. Went to Deere to get engine info but the sign up process hangs on password. Would appreciate any information you guys may have.
I'm wondering if it's a grey market machine? I'm familiar with the connection of JD/Hitachi because of my EX200-LC-5 Excavator, but hope parts are going to be as interchangeable at the EX.
Other than a minor valve body leak that should be an easy fix, the only other thing is that the steering pedals don't immediately rise when the parking brake is released and can take 5 minutes or so. Anyone have any ideas on possible resolution?
Thanks,

Welcome to the Boards.
I hadn't seen that before. The TO should mean it was built in Dubuque. DX75M brings it up as a Hitachi model in a web search. Those apparently used the 4045 engines like the 450G. The actual 6 digit serial number may relate to the Hitachi run of units. Good luck.
