Re: Military Surplus JD 350 Straight
Bidding is all part of the game and i would have felt bad taking this from them for 1300 lol
besides i picked up a friend out of it so all is good.
my center pivot does not have a zerk fitting in it.
how much play up and down do you have?

There is no zerk in the blade angle pivot pin according to the 6305 parts catalog.

Re: Military Surplus JD 350 Straight
Well, I would not have felt bad about getting it for cheap, but it would have complicated my life, because I already have a running and operating 350. It was a bit of relief when you outbid me.dabear3428 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 3:11 pmBidding is all part of the game and i would have felt bad taking this from them for 1300 lol

I have to check to see how much play is in my blade.
Thanks for the info on the zerk in the pivot pin.

Thanks. I hate going to the machine shop for stuff that I can do at home.dabear3428 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 3:13 pmBTW i subbed to your you tube channel, nice to see home shop methods to do things, i had never investigated how to do magnaflux.
I'll be posting a video on my 350 at some point in the not-too-distant future.

Re: Military Surplus JD 350 Straight
I saw that as well, but it just seemed like a good place for a zerk and the hole looks like it may be threaded. I guess I need to clean the hole out and see if I can tell where it goes.

Re: Military Surplus JD 350 Straight
In some places, like that pin, if it was greased it would collect more grit in the grease and wear out faster than being left dry. I suspect that is the reason for not having a zerk there.

Hi,
There is no photo hosting on this site. Not directly. As already mentioned, use another photo hosting site and then link to that.
We do have a site many of us use, one that is easy enough to use and is free. Here is a post on how to use that:

I have the same question; my blade seems to have significant play as well.

Your dealer should be able to do a system search if he didn't. My Ag dealer found some NLA parts for me at another dealer by doing a system search.
Have you called and talked to Lavoy?
Sorry I posted this in the wrong thread.
