drive shaft in steering clutch and brake assembly 450ca

I finally got the parts that I needed for the right side steering clutch and brake. Had to get a used hub and manifold ring. The manifold ring has a threaded hole and a small hose on it going to something. Mine had the threaded hole but no hose. the hole for the hose IS EXACTLY like my old manifold so nothing is any different BUT what did it go to in whatever the manifold ring came out of. Just wondering.
