Clutch pedal bushing 350

Post by DustinM » Mon Mar 03, 2025 5:49 am

I have a 350 with reverser. The clutch pedal has a lot of slop. How do I get the pedal out to change the bushing?

There is a snap ring and washer that hold the pedal on the pin(shaft). You actually can unbolt the pedal from the arm that has the bushing in it. If there is not enough room to slide the arm off the pin, it would appear you would need to pull the engine to get the bell (clutch) housing out of the frame and then remove the arm. Your service manual might give you some info.

There is only 1/2” clearance between the clutch pedal and the frame. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to pull the engine.

The only way to remove the pedal is to pull the reverser. So unfortunately it is deep. Pull the motor and then pull your reverser.
